Just need to vent and get some feedback. I bought a laptop computer from a big name retailer last Sept for $700 and purchased the extended warrenty for another $80. Overall I have been happy with it's performance. When I 1st got it the batt would stay charged for about 2 hrs. Within the last month that time has been rapidly declining to the point it only holds a charge for about 15 min now. I called the retailers extended warrenty line and they told me it was still under the factory warrenty and I need to take it up with them. I called the manufacturer and they had my run a self diag on the batt. The result was the batt should be replaced. They then told me the batt is not covered under the warrenty because it is a wearable item and tried to sell me a replacement for $160 or the upgraded one for $210. She said the normal life span of a batt is 1-3 yrs and told me all the tips for making them last longer. Needless to say I wasn't too happy.
Has anyone else had this experience. Do you think I could have any luck when the manufacturer warrenty is up and the retailers begins? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
