I was beginning to think I was the only one who doesn't like to see the world through the driving slit of an M1 Abrams tank, and who doesn't see sheet metal as a "some is good, more is better" design choice.
Cars with high waistlines and small greenhouses almost always look terrible because the proportions are wrong. Plus from the inside they are claustrophobic.
Sure this Volt looks kinda GM/Chevy generic, but having it look mainstream will also bring in more buyers--a critical point to broad adoption. Too often, environmentally oriented cars have looked flat out weird, which limits the market for them from the get-go, like that dorky 2-seat Honda coupe that looks like the business end of a vacuum cleaner (can't recall the model.
I can't wait to see and drive one of these, no matter what it looks like.
