The actual difference in the drilling is the pop up anchors are set 1/4 inch deeper.
There in another option I didn't know about before I read the instructions. A flange is available for the screw in's. This would provide a means to hide any surface defects around the drill point.
That might be a good idea. In the spring I had installed a canvas gazebo into a concrete deck using a low grade hammer drill. None of the holes came out clean or for that matter very round. I have to ascribe most of the blame to the low end tools I used. Some to me. The concrete did ship somewhat at some locations, but it wasn't bad. If the heavy duty drill and (I'll get) the diamond tip bit, cuts through like butter, I won't worry.
I bought the meyco rugged cover. They are located nearby on Long Island, maybe I can run over there Monday and install on tuesday.
