Hi all,

We are soon to be relocating to Houston from Massachusetts. Super excited by the BIG difference in housing costs. We can actually afford a house that we have always wanted.

My biggest question is what areas should we look at? My wife and I will both be working just outside the 610 loop on the west side of town. My inlaws live in League City. We want to be within a reasonable distance from them but do not want to have a hellish commute to work.

We have been strongly looking at Sugar Land, Pearland and anywhere in between. Sugar Land looks to have many appealing options for us and Pearland looks to have lots of new developments where we could find a home we would like.

As the crow flies both of these areas appear to be where we would want to be but we also realize Houston is a large city and has lots of traffic so we need to take that into consideration when looking for an area to settle in.

Anyone have any advice/thoughts for us?

Any input is really appreciated!
