Unless you are certain of the tires' age *regardless* of miles, I would skip used snows. Even if they are said to be "barely warn" by the seller but are a few years old, the rubber will have hardened and grip will be down. Obviously, if they have miles on them as well, tread depth will be down, too (a drawback in deep snow). For studless, so-called "friction tires" like Blizzaks et al., most have been designed with a special, softer compound that comprises ~50% of the tread; when this tread is worn off, the tires are really no better than all-seasons (one reason why sellers who know this are getting rid of them).
Anecdotally, I have tried running used snows for three winters (three different sets); none came close to a set of new tires.
In other words, it's probably a better idea to buy a new set of snows.
Either 185/65 or 195/60 will work perfectly on your c900. There is a studless Dunlop Graspic (DS-2??) that is said to be a step below the top-of-the-line Blizzaks but at much lower cost. If you want a studded tire (lots of ice, long-time hard-packed snow on the roads) then a set of Nokians (the now-low-line Hakka 2 is fine) is a good choice, and durable, too. Top-of-the-line studded Nokian is currently the Hakka 5, which, for the past two years running, has been rated the best studded tire in a large Swedish snow tire test (Aftenbladet newspaper). Gislaved's current studded offering fares well, too, in testing.
