Shell says they uses double the required amount of V-power in their regular gas and 5 times the amount in premium. Chevron says the concentration is the same in all their gas.
I read somewhere (was it a gasoline company website?) that if you use too much, you can create deposits. Because of this, every year I use a few tankfuls of one brand to "wash out" the residue from the other company.
In my city, I have 3 brands of Top Tier gas. Each brand has a cheap station somewhere on my weekly route. For example, I only drive my Shell once a week but if I am on my Shell schedule, I just wait for that day.
Brand A gets used every 2 years or so. Brand B gets used every year. Brancd C gets used about 70% of the time. I don't mix gas much so if I get a bad tankful that disables the car, I know which brand it was.
