Help me decide. We had a snow storm yesterday. There is compacted snow and ice on some smaller streets, patches of compacted snow on larger streets. It will be about 25-30 degrees F. I will have to drive for about 60 miles tomorrow.
Should I take the 9-3 (FWD) with Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50 (about 8/32" tread remaining) or a BMW X3 with Pirelli Scorpion STR all season tires with quite a lot of tread (about 10/32") or car #3, a lousy choice? I am 90% leaning towards the Saab but some advise me to use the AWD BMW. I think AWD is not very useful without snow tires.
