As it turns out, Saab is not the only car to give up its life and let drivers and passengers walk away from a bad crash. My Wife and a friend, plus my wife's show dog, were returning from California, having been at a dog show. Fifty miles from home (Casper, Wyoming), in clear weather and daylight, they were rear-ended by a 3/4 ton pick up - the dog (in a wire crate) needed a few stitches for a cut over her eye, my wife and her friend walked away from the accident involving our 04 Ford Freestar. My wife had slowed to 25 mph for a herd of deer crossing the road; the other driver did not see the deer nor the brake lights on my wife's car, no skid marks, estimated 65-70 mph impact. Hug your loved ones, furry and otherwise.
