...I'm glad others appreciate my interpretation! You're kind, Bill, but I'm a rookie in the engineering/design field and have a lot to learn still.
I do find the Volvo C30 a bit intriguing, as it's leaps and bounds away from the 240 wagons I grew up around, but it actually looks a little too 'cute' to me. It's so rounded-off, it reminds me too much of a Yaris.
Feature-wise, a 9-3 like this with XWD could be appealing to buyers who might otherwise go for Subarus at the lower and and Audis at the higher end. You'd have to keep FWD for the purists, but AWD does have quite a following in its own right.
