Not that I believe them, I think its likely a scam but thought I'd share. I had multiple partial recorded messages on my answering machine this last week so when I got a call today, I decided to speak with them assuming it was the same company.

They want to extend my car's warranty for 5 yrs till 2014! This is after I told them I have a 1989 Saab 900 (YES 1989 - 20 yrs old). Basically they say they will cover EVERYTHING (Engine, Trans, Electrical, A/C, Alternator, Starter, ...) Just take it to the dealer and pay $100 deductible and they cover everything else for the repair. They said the only thing I would need to worry about for 5 years would be gas, tires, brakes, wipers/wiper fluid. Sounds great huh?

All this and they will only charge me $1.23/day, that's $495/yr for 5 yrs for a total of $2250 to not worry about the car. But I won't get billed monthly/annually. They can only take full payment or their "15 month Payment Plan" ($295 up front and 130/mo for 15 months).

They also tried the hard sell when I ask them for information and that I wanted to think about it. Their initial reaction was "Your car is 1989, we've tried contacting you already so this was your last chance. If you don't decide today, and call me back, we don't think we could offer you an extended warranty later."

If this is legitimate, it could be a great deal for my '89, if my trans goes or turbo or something else over the next 5 yrs. But I assume this is completely a scam.

Just thought I'd see if anyone else has got this call.
