The large SUV (the Outlook) isn't an Opel, and the Aura is only remotely related. Ironically the Aura is the only model that sells at all right now, and even then only barely. So i am not sure if it is good for Opel and Saab to be the same.
On the other hand...
Saturn and Saab both have unique situations where they have a huge following for their brand. Neither one is delivering on that, at the moment, but I think they really could. I would love to see Saab, Saturn, Opel, Pontiac, and Holden all split from parent GM, leaving GM with Chevy, Buick, GMC, Cadillia, and DaeWoo. Let the others form a kind of specialized Niche motor group. But GM will let Opel go, and I am not too sure they would let Pontiac go as well. I am not even sure they really want to let Saab or Saturn go, they just really want them to disappear.
