The check engine light could be just about anything done wrong when the engine was installed like a missed vacuum hose and such or a failed oxygen sensor.
The oil pressure light is more serious and could point to a weak oil pump or worn engine.
I assume that the shop installing the engine removed the oil pan and cleaned out the pickup screen before the engine went into the car?
I also assume they replaced the oil pressure switch behind the starter. I also assume that if the engine came from a 2001 and earlier car that they replaced the cylinder head bolts and torqued the head gasket as well as replacing the valve cover gasket and blind plug at the end of head (if no vacuum pump).
Also what do they mean with "reconditioned"? Is it that they hosed off the engine with a pressure washer or did they take the engine apart and replace all bearings, chains, gaskets and seals (which I doubt)?
