I used to think my modified 1988 900 T was good enough, with maybe 240 hp. With FWD I didn't think I could practically get more to the road.
Then the Turbo-X came out, I bought one, and I'm really happy with it. The only criticisms are really nit-picking (not 900 positioned window switches; don't like the window shade like cargo area cover in the SportCombi).
After a year, no mechanical issues.
The 900 was a great car in its day. The modified '88 can run with cars 15 years newer. But the Turbo-X is awesome, both in power and driveability.
Does the XWD Aero have all the stuff? I'm not sure about the brakes or suspension, or the cosmetics, but I'd think it's a pretty good car. All of this putting aside the potential demise of the company ...
