All of these viruses and worms prolong themselves by establishing a key or several within the Windows registry. The tools you are using do not find the worm or virus as it renames itself on each boot cycle.
I removed one of these for a friend by observing the adware dialog box for a string that appeared to be 'autogenerated'. This string is the current name of a dll library (dynamic link library) that inserts itself into your browsers memory space; some of these worms can attach to an Outlook process.
The Windows utility to cleanup this spore is regedit.exe. If you have not used this tool before, ask questions or consult a friend who has.
