Sorry for being Johnny Raincloud, but if Gm didn't have the resources to bring out that many new cars, I don't see how this little company is going to have the resources or the expertise to jump production up to 100K cars. It takes time to develop new cars, and money to build them. And we are not talking about a company with a lot of expertise in mass production.
Unfortunately I see one of two things happening here: The new 9-5 turns out to be a hit, and Sabb goes on for a bit, they have the time and money to bring out a ne3 9-3, but they are still back to their old size, two (maybe 3 if you count the 9-3x as a seperate car) selling about what they did 10 years ago. Hopefully they will be able to stick around, I hope.
More likely, however, I think they just aren't going to have the resources or the know how to keep up with a large volume, and Saab goes into being a niche car. They become good cars, but expensive and exclusive. Not sure what is better - the survival of the company or being able tog et your hands on one.
