What happens is that the placement company gets paid for referrals and for a the hire. That way you don't have to pay someone to find you a job. So then what happens is that all the recruiters and placement companies place job ads for the same job. I see it all the time. They won't list the company's name because they want to get paid for referring you. What I do is search the info and see if I can find out who the job is for and go directly to them. That way I can get better info about the job instead of hearsay.
