I'm surprised that this car is so misunderstood on TSN. Of course it's slow, relatively unsafe, utilitarian looking, even crude, and quite possibly even ugly, depending on the point of view of the beholder, but that's missing all of the charming simplicity of the thing. As someone alluded to, the original brief for the suspension was that it had to be possible to drive across a ploughed/plowed field with a basket of eggs on the seat, and have none of them break. I don't remember how skinny the tires are, but I'd bet they're 135's. In spite of having a contact patch that would embarass some motorbikes, it does have steering reminiscent of non-assisted Porsche 911. It's a 70-odd year old design, that was only finally put to rest in the last 15 years or so. There aren't many cars in production today that will still be around in 10 years without major changes, let alone after 70. It should not be forgotten that not all slow cars are dull, and not all dull cars are slow. I won't even start on the car's French idiosyncrasies; we'd end up concluding that SAABs aren't really all that quirky after all.
