don't recall what model # it is, but we have the older yellow one. I would not trade it for any other on the market. We have had the Dyson for 5 years now without any issues what so ever.
Prior to this we had a Hoover, that would overheat in 15 minutes. The Dyson would go behind the Hoover and pick up everything it missed.
Current housing situation is a mix of Tile and Berber and throw rugs.
As stated going from a hard surface to the throw rugs, well you need to switch from hard flooring to carpet, and yes it does get "stuck" to the throw rugs from time to time. Our biggest issue has been the amount of suction on the throw rugs being so great that it wants to drag it around the room.
Anyways enough of my opinions.
