In this day and age, anything is possible, but usually the buyout is negotiated at the front end of a lease. That's how your payments get determined. You signed on at the start of the lease, and the leasing co really has no obligation to take anything less that what was agreed to then. but, you might have a chance with the sorry state of car sales, so it's likely worth asking at least.
What I'd do is take the buyout that's in the contract, and compare it with CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) Saab prices in your area. If the buyout is a lot higher than a CPO, you could take the chance and let your current car go, and try a CPO car, where you might be able to negotiate.
But if the numbers are close, and you really like what you've got, you're probably better off taking the buyout.
