There are a few key locations for rust, based on what my dad and I have seen looking for parts.
1) Rockers.
2) Under the rear carpeting in the back, around the battery area.
3) Floors, namely drivers near the pedals.
Check for stress cracks around the headlight openings on the nose (corners crack over time). Look for any repairs in the fiberglass.
These cars are actually pretty solid if kept inside, and most rust repair is pretty simple. My dad daily drives his 73 in the summer, but keeps it under a cover at work, and the body looks great, as does the *original* paint (140k or so miles). Good luck, they're really fun cars.
