Thing you have put in the dishwasher

I cleaned a Volvo I4 engine block in a dishwasher once, then baked dry in the oven.
Recently inherited a couple of hundred very interesting CDs that had major amounts of cigarette smoke on them. Took the boxes apart and ran the three plastic parts through low temperature cleaning cycles and they came out perfect. I ran a small test batch first to see if the plastic would warp. A dishwasher with a exposed heating element might render CD cases 'not dishwasher safe' The CDs were cleaned with Windex, some were 'brown'.
I have also cleaned electrostatic filter elements and BBQ grates.
