As others note, using a cellular card/antenna that plugs into a USB port can certainly do the job. HOWEVER, I think these need a digital cell signal to work correctly and there are places in the sticks still using an analog signal. This is a vanishing type of connection, but it still exists in rural areas.
I have a relative in Vermont who lives on the side of a mountain where you can't get a cell signal. He's a software engineer and he gets his internet from his satellite TV. I forget what his speeds are, but it certainly works for him and is bundled with his TV.
So where are you moving to? Leaving the city/suburbs for semi-rural or really rural life is wonderful. It's really transforming. We live in a semi-rural area and it's makes for a really pleasant lifestyle.
