I'm not sure what your exact use is for this "starting" battery.
My experience may or may not shed light on your decision.
I have three batteries on my diesel engine auxillary sailboat. They all are 85 Amp Hr West Marine brand (I'm not sure who the manufacture of this brand was when I purchased them and it is likely different today.)
The are all used for starting and house loads. The boat lives on a mooring, thus no shore power access. One of the batteries discharged once so I took it shore for recharging at a auto parts store. I use a Siemens photovoltaic (solar) charger with regulator to keep them topped off.
The batteries were purchased from WM in 1993 and 1994!
