Well it _is_ the responsible purchase. A Saab is more emotional, a Honda is more responsible. The Honda will give you years of carefree but boring miles and a Saab will give you years of somewhat trouble-prone but fun miles. Take your pick.
But like KevinM, I'm confused about your dilemma: you can sell the Honda that you hate for more (or at least break-even at this point) than you paid and you don't know what to do? That's very confusing. Here's a hint as to what to do: take a day researching cars online then go drive those that sound interesting. Sell the car that you hate (for more than you paid) and get a car that you enjoy. There are a lot of reliable, fun-to-drive cars out there now. The Mazda3 come to mind but even a newer low-mileage 9-5 is pretty reliable. Plus, it seems that no one wants a 9-5 so you should be able to find a very nice example for a very nice price.
Unless I'm missing something, your situation isn't really that difficult to resolve. Stop wasting time in something you dislike and get something that brings you pleasure.
