I pointed this out when the whole "sell Saab" and "Saab never made money" talk started. It is nonsense that Saab cannot make money. They can make a PILE of money given the right partnerships. If they sell 100K cars a year, that is 3 Billion in cashflow. With some common sense it can make PILES of money. replacement of the current product line is the challange. What platform for 9-3 (this MUST be their top seller and primary focus). Competition is brutal in this segment, A4, A3, BMW 3, C class, Lexus IS, G35, Volvo S60....WOW that is BRUTAL competition!!!. Bring back the hatch it is a good way to differentiate in this segment. Maybe a diesel in N. America as only BMW sells one and it's at the very top segment. If Saab can offer a really nice 4 cyl diesel with around 180 HP they can really do well. VW is always selling out their diesel cars... how come no one else seems to notice this?
