The interior will have all those "must have" creature comforts that North American owners have come to expect in a luxury brand. When you trade the car every three years, who cares. GM never has had an intrest in building a car that would go for 200-300K with normal maintaince. They proved that in 1999. If you do that, you can't sell enough cars every year. That, and GM's meddeling into design and platform integration is the reason for Saab's supposed poor sales figures. How many 15 year old Chevy Malibu's are out there still running on the original drivetrain?? They bought it cheap and then raped Saab for it's technology then are just letting it go, thanks very much Saab. FOMOCO is doing the same with Volvo.
