The Egg isn't very far from Lark St. Your best bet for quality beer is the Lionheart (on Madison Ave. near the corner of Lark St.), but I don't think they have food. Bombers (on Lark near Jay St.) has a bunch of taps and great burritos/tacos, wings, etc... The Lark Tavern (on Madison Ave across the street from the Lionheart) has a decent selection of beer on tap and good pub food.
The closest place I can think of is the Madison Grill- On Madison Ave just above Swan St. $3.25 bottles of Sierra Nevada and excellent pizza.
The only brewpub in town is the Pump House. Good ales, good food, kind of pricey. It's down by the bottom of Clinton Ave, so I wouldn't consider it to be walking distance from the Egg.
Also, I can't resist mentioning that Mahar's (uptown near the end of Madison Ave.) has the best selection of ales in the region.
