Land Rover has figured it out - the 2010 Range Rover comes with a "twin-view" screen that allows the passenger to watch a DVD while the driver sees satellite navigation. I'm guessing the screen works in a similar manner to children's books or advertisements where the image you see changes depending on your viewing angle.

In this application, perhaps when the car is stopped (in park/neutral with parking brake engaged), both of the screen's pixel arrays would be able to show the Internet content or entertainment. One the car is moving, the driver would only be able to see a basic info display or navigation while the passenger can continue browsing.

You can already get mobile Internet access in a car using a phone, netbook, laptop, etc., so integrating it into the dash really isn't a huge paradigm shift by this point.
