Many manufacturers have relegated manual trannys to the lowest level (i.e. budget) of their model lines. Which means compact and sub-compact models. There are a few exceptions. For example you can get a manual on a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe but only on the low line GLS with FWD. Most dealers won't order and stock manual tranny cars (the exception being sports models) because they are not as 'salable' to the general public most of whom can't (or don't want to) drive a stick...
