The Digital channels don't necessarily transmit on the same frequencies they used to. Used to be channel 6 was a fixed frequency, not so much any more. The stations often changed their actual transmitting frequency to a higher one, that might be, for example, Channel 34, BUT because of a digital code that's transmitted, you still tune it as channel 6.
First thing you should do, especially if you have not done it since last June, is to go to your converter, and clear out all memorized channels, and have the box re-scan for available channels. This may uncover a few channels, due to the post-changeover frequencies changing.
Next, go to antennaweb<dot>org or tvfool<dot>com and map out your location, and what channels you can expect to be able to receive, and what kind of antenna you'll need to get them.
