Engine Flush / Coolant Disposal Posted by EGD [Email] (#663) [Profile/Gallery] (more from EGD) on Thu, 13 May 2010 09:55:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Need to do a coolant flush / replacement on my Mazda6 wagon.
I'll recycle the full strength coolant I drain out (of course) but what do you do with the coolant / water mix when you flush it out? I'm not going to just let it flow to the storm drain but I could end up with I figure +10 gallons of mix to gather up / recycle. Some websites say you can just flush it down the toilet since most US / Canadian sewage treatment plants can process it (can't do it if you're on a septice tank).
Maybe it's just easier to have it done by a shop. Mazda dealer wants $140 which I think is too high.
Thanks!
