An opinion...from another 2007 9-5 Aero owner Posted by Herb Hirsch [Email] (#114) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Herb Hirsch) on Sat, 29 May 2010 11:15:38 In Reply to: free scheduled maintenance, Aero'ed, Sat, 29 May 2010 07:11:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My wife and I currently have a 2004 9-5 ARC and my 2007 9-5 AERO. The 2007 was a replacement (bought in Aug, 2007) for my former 2000 9-5 AERO on which I accumulated 280K miles.
Oil sludge problems on the 2000 9-5 were ZERO. At 250K miles I removed the oil pan and valve cover....they were as clean as new....no sludge. Most driving (200 miles per day) was on the interstate and highways. I changed the oil AND FILTER every 5K miles using Mobile-1 full synthetic 0-40. IMHO, I would not cut corners on oil and filter changes.
