Last year I was the owner of a '99 9-5 Sport Combi. Bought it used in 2002 with 37K on it from my Saab indie. It was starting to nickel and dime me between failed parts, tires, shocks, exhaust, 120 major service, etc... well, to the tune of $2500 in the Fall of 2009. It had 116K on it but my promise to myself was to keep it another 2 years minimum. Then the Saab liquidation hit. My Saab dealer had an '09 9-3 Sport Combi with the 1SC package. It has all the traits of an Aero sans V-6, xenon lights and seats, but Aero everything else. Sticker price: $36,300. Sales price: $25,300. I always said that I would never pay over $25K for a car so I would be looking for a certified one in the future but how could I pass this up? My wife said in a very calm tone, "why not buy that one now?" Within 24 hours it was a done deal. My indie gave me $2500 for my old one which covered my recent service "investment" into it (dealer offered me $1000). I still can't wipe the smile off my face! Happy SAAB hunting! Oh yea,... all the "cool" people drive a Sport Combi!
