Are Akebono pads "better" than ATE? Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Sun, 12 Sep 2010 12:50:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I need some new pads for my Viggen, and I found someone with old new stock of pads. They are, I believe made by ATE for Saab. Nick at genuinesaab says the latest factory ones are made by akebono. Is there a reason for the switch? On the pads, all you see is "GM" whereas in the one I'd like to buy, you see the ATE logo. If I can get them at a good deal, should I just go for the ATE ones?
I ask, because I don't see why they made the switch from manufacturers, though I am driving with pads that are 10 years old (Car is a 2001) and they are amazing.
Thanks for the input, Bender.
