looks like their claim to fame is battery management: that their system monitors individual cells allowing individual cells to be replaced vs the whole pack + matching is not required. I'm not sure how novel that really is, though they claim to be unique in that regard.
I also like that they plan to make their system available as a "drop in engine replacement"... eg, when the engine in your otherwise perfect 9-5 sludges, maybe this may someday be an option? not sure if there really is that big of a market for retrofits (obviously cost sensitive), but sounds cool...
