Numerous neighbors on the street behind ours have recently notieced their garage door openers no longer work, their garage door keypads no longer work, the lock/unlock functions on their automotive keyfobs no longer work, and their remote car starters no longer work. All of the portable devices mentioned above work properly out of their end of the neighborhood.

My next door neighbor is a ham radio fan so they are all looking at his rooftop antenna array as a possible cause but we have no issues at our home. The fellow across the street also has problems but the house next door to him has no problems.

With so many radio controlled devices in the standard home these days I figure someone in the tight cluster of affected homes has a defective wireless router or similar, but this is driving lots of people nuts trying to find the cause.

Did you know high-end home thermostats are now wireless? Routers, cell phones, home networks, door openers and remote starters, major appliances, the list seems endless.
