I agree. Sounds like a complete fishing trip to me, written well before the Geneva show... the image is a photochop, and it doesn't bring in any of the design elements of the Phoenix, which I would suspect (from what VM + Castriota were saying <1 week ago) would figure more prominently in a 9-2 than a 9-3 or 9-5 (never mind that the photochop has nothing to do aesthetically with the VM 9-2 sketches either)... there is also no mention of hybrid drive trains, and you can bet the 9-2 will have one (the 9-3 will have one)... and Jason has said "you will see it [referring to the phoenix from the A pillar forward] in the new 9-3" and that the back end will be "iconic"... and the 9-3 is essentially done, from what they have said (though some logistical delay in the release would not surprise me - they have already admitted it might not be set for Geneva next year, but instead Paris)...
NoSnaab: I know you're a c900 guy at heart. If you haven't already seen it, the not as widely shown image of the Phoenix (below) should make you happy... I could be wrong, but I was given the impression that this was to figure in production models going forward! I think the new 9-3 will be a futuristic version of the c900 + the 9-2 something pretty cool indeed (once it's ready)...
(imho C+D is obsolete)
James...
