The problem is here he isn't moving the installed locations of programs, he would need to ADD all of the references into the registry. There is a new OS installation so the required registry entries done exist at all.
Technically you could do what was required via reg edit, but you would need to know all of the required keys and values to be added to the registry. Essentially, you would need to replicate what the installer would have accomplished in the first place.
Kooch: Assuming you need to retain your existing files (saved data) in these programs your best bet is to somehow get the original installer program. See if you can download a self installing version of the program. Rename the directories on the slave drive (D: I assume) to a temp name. Use the installer to install the program to the desired location on D:. Then copy all the files from your original installation of the program to the newly installed location.
Naturally there is a catch with this as well though, there may be a problem with ini files if the newly installed version differs from your original.
