I had some denatured alcohol left over from removing a painted-on pinstripe from my Aero. My best friend left me his Gary Fisher wagon while he's away which has been living under some runny pine trees. The thing was COVERED in baked-on nasty pine sap. I put some denatured alcohol on a small piece of folded paper towel, set it on a spot of sap, counted to three, and it wiped off like nothing. No damage to clear coats and while I didn't let it contact for long, no issues with plastic or rubber moldings. You can buy it at almost any hardware store in the solvents section. I'd post in the detail section but I feel like it doesn't get enough traffic and everyone should know about this trick!! I used PB Blaster on a few spots on my car after parking under the trees and it took FOREVER to cut through and left a big greasy mess all over.
