I take care of my stuff so much! I DIDN'T want to get an iskin or whatever they have because I see it as a device that *will* get worn out and eventually I'd have to buy a new one anyway, so what stop it from getting scratched? I'm super careful with the screen and keep it in a sock.
Yea, the sock worked great until today when I held it upside down and the darn thing slipped out of it. Not even the headphone cable was able to hold it. It fell down hard stairs (!! my god, of all the places).
Love Apple, but it's so ridiculously delicate (which is why i don't have an iphone because it *will* get dropped...) and once it's toast it's toast. You can't fix it really as far as I know, like we can our Saabs.
So, on the positive side, it's working fine (so much as I can tell) but the top corner is quite bent (I'll take a picture tonight and post it) and allows entry of dirt and stuff between the glass and metal part. I guess NOW I'll get an iskin to protect it and so that I don't have to see it and remind myself of the damage everytime.
There's no other option, is there?
Always amazes me how long it takes to make something beautiful, functional, perfect and yet how in no time, you can destroy something that easily.
