I had an '09 AWD MKZ as a rental in Boston - I really liked that car. I like the Fusion to begin with, and the MKZ is really nice improvement. Not sporting like a 3-series is, but easy to drive, totally comfortable, and IMHO sharp looking. I had it for a week and enjoyed every minute behind the wheel. I'll be honest, Sync didn't hurt one iota.
I am assuming you've checked to ensure that offset and backspacing between the two wheels is close enough to work. Given they will, 19" factory wheels will surely be heavier than the originals and you'll feel that in the road, so be prepared for that. 17" factory wheels are usually in the 23lb range, and 19" factory wheels closer to 28lbs. That's a big bump in unsprung weight.
Tirerack says the factory 18" MKZ is a 225/45-18 (fairly common) and the 19" MKS is a 255/45-19. If you try running the MKS tire you will at least have massive speedometer error, and it may not even physically fit. To keep speedo accuracy and eliminate fitment issue, you're going to want to run 225/40-19, which is not a lot of tire. You're going to feel that.
I would personally consider going with a bigger 225/45-19 to get that sidewall back and soften the ride a little. You will end up with a speedometer error, but it's possible a Ford dealer can reprogram the speedo to compensate. In any case, it isn't much and I wouldn't be worried about living with it. Just remember you're going a little faster than the speedometer indicates - though on many cars with conservative speedometers a little extra tire diameter is a fix. ;) Also remember heavier wheel + more tire will likely eat into acceleration and fuel economy a little.
HTH.
