Looking for someone with a useless REMOTE key for a 9-3 or 9-5 from '01 to '03 ('03 vert for 9-3), that they bought for the guts and is now a useless hulk with the wrong key cut for them. If you check the key FAQ (http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/faq/keyfaq.pdf), it's "REMOTE KEY 1" I'm looking for.
I'd like to make up a "wallet key" that will gain admission to my Saab. It doesn't have to start the car, just open it - so the transponder is not an issue. I looked over the Type-2 key bottom at the dealer and it has a really small bit of metal at the top of the blank, so it's not a good choice for a starting point. I think the REMOTE type key might have a large "T" at the top like the old wallet keys used to have, but I'd need to cut one open to find out as the metal in that key is covered entirely by plastic and you can't see what's in there without dissection.
So, I'm hoping someone might have a useless one hanging around that they bought for just the guts that they wouldn't mind cutting open for the cause.
Thanks,
