pump was off Posted by TML [Email] (#2212) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TML) on Tue, 15 Nov 2011 04:55:42 In Reply to: plumbing question, TML [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 14 Nov 2011 15:28:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I feel a little foolish, but there are mitigating factors. The day prior to the water pressure disappearing, I was doing some work in the solarium so I had flipped the breaker for the outlets in that room. The well pump should not be on a shared breaker with all those outlets, but it turns out it is (none of the breakers are labelled either). It took about a day before the pressure dropped out of useable range, but when it did it did rather suddenly, so I didn't make the connection between the two events. The other thing that threw me off is that the pressure gauge by the tank is stuck at about 47psi - it didn't change from when there was essentially no water pressure to when the tank got fully recharged. The spigot that appeared to have good pressure was in fact only providing good flow due to gravity, as it was below the bottom of the tank.
