Saab bankruptcy

The owners of Saab has finally filed for bankruptcy. It is now more important that Saab websites like this be kept alive especially for owners like us who own these cars. Very soon dealerships may no longer be available to provide technical support for these complicated beasts. GM re_engineered Saab and now has decided to destroy it to protect its current profitable line in China.
Owners of pre 1996 models should not be too concerned especially for DIY since the OBD2 standards were not established yet. Anything after this is going be a nightmare for many of us who are less technical since everything on theses cars are computer controlled. Yes, you can still get updates and technical support but at a price. AC-Delco will sell you a subscription to their web support but unless you are a dealer, it would be too expensive to pay $1000+ for an annual subscription. You really do not know when you will need it. I am surprised , at least 300 cars were sold last month. Either these buyers are dealership connected or just plain folks who did not know and got sold because of an unbelievable bargain.
So from now on DIY, of which I am one of them must learn to keep these cars running as long as we can. I wish I had the money to buy up the company and transform it to a best seller. It has the potential for that if it can be divested of the bad GM features built into the product.
