So a quick update to my water pressure issues...
The spark notes version is the water company came this morning to shut off the water to the house at the valve buried in the back yard so we could do more trouble-shooting. The valve was half shut. The water company guy said it was one of the easiest valves he's ever turned. So it probably just wiggled itself shut. So Merry Christmas to me- I've got lots of water pressure again!
They figured out it wasn't anything in the house because the plumber actually put a gauge on the main feed in the garage and as soon as he opened the valve the water pressure dropped to 5 psi. The plan was to have the water company shut off the valve so they could cut the line in the house and look for an obstruction. Thankfully that was not necessary.
Thanks for all your suggestions!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
