It wouldn't be a viable option for you in a daily driver. These batteried would have inadequate starting capability in cold weather. I bought a Group 48 size battery for my 9-5 this week at Sam's Club for $85. Identical battery at WalMart is around ~$100, and ~$125++ at automotive specialty stores. This size is used in both the 9-5 and 2.0T versions of the 9-3 (someone posted the V6 9-3s requires a different shape/size).
How much money would you really save buying a summer use "track day" battery?
