I installed some about 6 months ago. Flooring America was having a sale on a brand called "Wellmade." I went with engineered, rather than solid, since it doesn't expand/contract as much with changes in weather. The top layer goes all the way to the tongue, so it can be sanded (if necessary) as much as solid flooring. It also has 13 layers of aluminum oxide, which is a very hard finish. So far, it's held up well to two rather active cats, one of whom sprays on the walls. That just pools up and dries on the bamboo, but cleans up very easily and hasn't soaked in at all.
I did have trouble with the installer, though. He only left an expansion gap on one wall, even though the manufacturer confirmed that even engineered bamboo needs a gap at all walls. He also nailed the tongue (which is proper), but also the end, which risks splitting the board.
I got stranded, which is strips of bamboo kind of intermeshed together and glued, which is the stronger method. I think it looks a bit better, too, but that's subjective. I also got the carbonized version, which darkens the bamboo, but makes it a bit softer. Still, it's pretty hard and seems to be holding up well.
