Bidders are still bidding Posted by NCCaniac [Email] (#352) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NCCaniac) on Wed, 8 Feb 2012 14:39:20 In Reply to: scroll down..., James, Wed, 8 Feb 2012 05:38:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
One media outlet claims the administrators rejected Youngman's bid, but that is not completely clear based on other sources. Mahindra and Mahindra from India is placing a bid for Saab, as is Brightwell Holdings from Turkey (apparently with some mid-east oil money backing it), and there is talk of another bid from an unnamed european company or consortium. So, it is all still very up in the air at the moment as to who may buy Saab, but the administrators say they hope to approve a bidder by end of February.
Parts availability for the model you mention is a little tight now but is starting to free up and should be fine for the next 10 years, even if Saab is sold off in pieces as the parts business is separate and making money.
