I've owned 5 C900 convertibles and 2 hardtops. My guess is about the time they start getting really expensive is when I'll decide I want another one. When I worked in an office all day I liked tinkering with cars. Now that I spend my days dealing with mechanical things of all kinds I have no interest in playing "what's wrong now" in my spare time. Actually I think that stupid Subaru I had was the straw the broke the camel's back on fooling with cars--there was ALWAYS something going wrong with that thing.
