Sounds like this is for a car left outdoors and not a garage "dust" cover. I've foud that 100% waterproof covers may not be the way to go, especially if the car is parked over earth instead of asphalt/concrete. The 100% waterproof ones I have tried tend to act like a terarium, capturing moisture as it rises and leaving the surface of car the perpetually damp. With a breathable cover it has a chance to dry out. I'd rather deal with pollen and dust getting thru from the outside than rust and mold growning from the inside. I have used a bit of 303 fabric conditioner on my covers which seem to make the water bead up and roll off inclined surfaces but still lets the fabris breath a bit. I don't think $200 is much to spend on a cover. Far cheaper than paint or body work, or a new vert top! My favorite is the Ultratect cover. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
